The Richmond County Coroner confirms 25-year-old ShaQuia Philpot and her two 10-month-old sons, Cassius and Caysen Williams, were found inside the submerged car. All three were pronounced dead at 8 p.m.

Officials say the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene near Augusta Regional Airport around 4:50 p.m. on Friday after a fisherman found the car.

Investigators and rescuers from Augusta Fire/EMS worked to pull the car from the waters.

This is a ongoing investigation, and additional details have not yet been released.
