Suspicious death of 19-year-old investigated in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Coroner’s Office is investigating a suspicious death in the 1900 block of Murphy Road.
Authorities say Jimekeyana Cummings, 19, was found dead in her vehicle in the parking lot of her residence. Cummings was pronounced dead on the scene at 11:45 a.m. Monday. An autopsy is scheduled.
Details remain extremely limited at this time.
Her death was one of three suspicious ones Monday in Augusta.
Just after 2 p.m., deputies responded to a call from Johnson’s Barber and Beauty in the 700 block of Eve Street in the Harrisburg neighborhood, where they found two men had been shot dead. That case is being investigated as a homicide.
