Beech Island home is lost after blaze breaks out

BEECH ISLAND, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Crews battled a blaze Wednesday afternoon in Beech Island.
The report came in around 2:14 p.m. regarding a house at 4680 Augusta Road.
At the time of the call, the house was fully engulfed with flames.
Two adults and five children live at the home, and some were there at the time but no one was injured.
The house is a total loss and the Red Cross is assisting the family.
Several agencies responded, including the Beech Island Fire Department., Midland Valley Fire Department, Clearwater Fire Department, North Augusta Public Safety and the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
