18-year-old charged with murder of 50-year-old on Etterlee Road

RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - An 18-year-old has been charged with murder after a fatal shooting in Augusta late Thursday night.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has charged Alec Hadden with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The shooting happened around 7 p.m. on Etterlee Road, deputies said. When investigators arrived, they found the body of a man lying in a dirt driveway.
Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen later identified the man as 50-year-old Jerry L. Harden. Harden had been shot at least once.
Hadden was linked to the shooting following an investigation.
The investigation, meanwhile, is ongoing.
