Soft lockdowns
Also, there were at least three soft lockdowns late Thursday afternoon in the Columbia County School District.
Under advisement of deputies, Baker Place Elementary, Columbia Middle School and Grovetown High School restricted student movement outside of the school buildings for about 10 minutes while law enforcement completed an investigation in a nearby neighborhood.
This caused a slight delay in the departure of school buses from Baker Place Elementary.
The scare Wednesday at Westside in Augusta was apparently same thing happened several weeks ago in South Carolina.
