Suspect arrested after North Augusta road rage incident
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A man wanted in connection with a road rage incident on Friday in North Augusta has been arrested.
North Augusta department of Public Safety officers said 23-year-old Tymere Hill has been identified as the suspect who fired a gun after a car accident turned into road rage, according to authorities.
Hill was arrested Sunday and is booked with the Candler County Sheriff’s Office.
According to authorities, Hill is wanted on charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The traffic accident happened on the ramp at Exit 1 on Interstate 20 after two vehicles crashed while merging. The drivers of the two vehicles then began to argue about who was at fault.

Shortly after the crash, another person in a truck stopped at the accident, and Hill got into an argument with someone in the car and later shot at him. No one was injured, according to authorities.
The man went after Hill in his vehicle and called 911 around 2:30 p.m.
Hill then got out of his car and fled on foot on Courtney Drive, according to authoruities. Authorities say he will now have to be extradited to South Carolina.
