Memorial Day service held at Aiken County Veterans Park

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Aiken County Veterans Council presented a Memorial Day Service at Aiken County Veterans Park.
The service began at 11 a.m. Monday at Aiken County Veterans Park on Richland Avenue East.
“When people say ‘happy Memorial Day,’ how about we change that to a thoughtful Memorial Day, which is much more appropriate than being happy on this somber day.”
Many speakers, including the Marine Core League Detachment 939, took to the podium, ing and thanking fallen soldiers.
