Lottery players thought they won $30K, but it turns out to be much more

VERSAILLES, Mo. (Gray News) – The winners of a Show Me Cash lottery prize in Missouri were shocked when they went to lottery headquarters to claim their money.
One of the winners explained he knew they had won, but he didn’t know the exact prize amount when they scheduled an appointment at Lottery headquarters in Jefferson City.
They thought they’d won $30,000 until a Missouri Lottery employee congratulated them on their $130,000 jackpot win.
“It was a good surprise,” they said. “We thought it was $30,000 and were happy with that!”
They had matched all five numbers drawn on Dec. 15, making them the sole winners of the Show Me Cash jackpot.
The winning numbers were 2, 3, 8, 25 and 38.
