2 local businesses featured by ‘America’s Best Restaurants’
MARTINEZ, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Two restaurants in the CSRA are being featured by “America’s Best Restaurants.”
We were at Taqueria El Rey on Washington Road in Martinez, where filming began on Thursday. Filming for the show started at 3 p.m. and ran until 5 p.m.
We spoke with the co-owner of Taqueria El Rey and she says she is excited to get Augusta on the map.
“We feel very excited to be able to put Augusta on a map, not just for golf and stuff, but there’s also hidden gems in the area that people need to try,” said Patty Galvin.
Galvin says they are excited that their hard work is being featured on a show.
She says the restaurant works in the community as well, including helping to feed people experiencing homelessness on Sunday mornings.
Fish Eye Grill in Burke County was also recognized by the crew at America’s Best Restaurant.
