Murder-suicide victims ID’d after being found on Holden Drive
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 41-year-old and a 43-year-old have been identified as the victims of a murder-suicide on Holden Drive, according to authorities.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to the 1200 block of Holden Drive about deceased people inside a home at 9 p.m. Sunday.
Upon arrival, deputies say they located a female victim, deceased from a gunshot wound.
Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen identified the victim as Rebecca Williams, 41, who was shot at least one time.
Deputies say they then found a male deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The victim was identified as Michael Williams, 43, was shot at least one time from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the coroner.
Both were of the same address and pronounced dead at 9:50 p.m. The coroner says the autopsies have been scheduled.
