Teen now charged as adult in 2022 Aiken killing of 3 teens
AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 17-year-old previously arrested is now charged as an adult in connection with the slaying of three teenage boys on Wadley Drive in Aiken County, according to authorities.
Antonio Jones, 15 at the time of the shooting, of Warrenville, was arrested at the end of June 2022 and charged with three counts of murder and one count of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
According to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, a hearing determined he will now be charged as an adult and was booked into the detention center Friday.
Jones was previously held in a juvenile detention facility pending a hearing to be able to charge him as an adult, officials say.
This is the third suspect in the June 26, 2022, shooting that claimed the lives of claiming the lives of 17-year-old Willie Garrett IV and 16-year-olds Ivan Perry and Cameron Carroll.

Authorities say on June 26, 2022, deputies responded to a shooting incident that occurred between 1:22 p.m. and 2:14 p.m. on Wadley Drive in Aiken.
Deputies say when they arrived, they found three teenage boys lying on the ground, bleeding from gunshot wounds.
Deputies were attempting to give the victims medical care when EMS officials arrived on the scene, officials say.
Garrett and Perry were found dead at the scene, and Carroll died later at a hospital, according to authorities.
