Nearly 20 double-voting cases investigated across Georgia

ATLANTA, Ga. - Almost 20 cases of double voting in the Peach State will be investigated by several district attorneys across Georgia, but none of them are in the CSRA.
Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said 17 instances of double voting in the 2022 general election will be investigated. Raffensperger said those involved are suspected of voting in Georgia and then voting again in another state.
The double voting instances happened in these counties:
- Barrow
- Chatham
- Cobb
- Douglas
- Fannin
- Forsyth
- Fulton
- Morgan
- Tift
“One illegal vote cast is too many,” Raffensperger said. “Georgians deserve to have their voice heard fully, not have it diluted by bad actors.”
Raffenseperger said the allegations came about from Georgia’s hip in the Electronic Registration Information Center.
“This network of 24 states and the District of Columbia shares interstate data to improve the quality of election istration by promoting accurate voter rolls and identifying illegal voting,” Raffensperger’s office said in a statement. “ERIC is the best large-scale tool available to identify illegal voting across states.”
