BRUNSWICK, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Buc-ee’s Nation has another reason to celebrate: A new store is coming to Georgia.

An official groundbreaking for the Buc-ee’s coming to Brunswick will be held this month.

This will be the third Buc-ee’s location in Georgia, bringing more than 200 full-time jobs to Brunswick.

On Jan. 29, Buc-ee’s, local, state, and federal leaders will celebrate the official start of construction on the new 74,000 square foot travel center.

The Buc-ee’s will be located at 7156 Highway 99, just off Interstate 95.

The chain was founded in 1982 by Arch “Beaver” Aplin III in Clute, Texas and has grown to nearly 50 of the giant stores in recent years, gaining a cultlike following.

They feature a bakery, brisket and fudge bar, jerky bar, snack aisle, soda, coffee and Icee station.

Product offerings include cookies, kolaches, and pastries in the bakery, BBQ brisket sandwiches, breakfast tacos/sandwiches at the brisket bar, along with cold-cut wraps and sandwiches.

The company even has its own line of snack foods, including “Beaver Nuggets.”
