S.C. Sen. Tim Scott announces engagement to girlfriend
CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - South Carolina’s junior senator has a reason to celebrate.
Sen. Tim Scott on Sunday announced his engagement to girlfriend Mindy Noce on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, Sunday.
“Mindy, thank you for making me the luckiest man in the world,” Scott said.
The 58-year-old first made the relationship public after the Republican presidential debate in Miami.
Scott dropped out of the presidential race just after the November debate after not being able to find footing in the polls.
Scott on Friday endorsed Donald Trump to be the Republican Party nominee.
The endorsement was a blow to Nikki Haley’s bid for the nomination.
Haley, when she was governor of South Carolina, appointed Scott to the Senate seat he holds.
Scott’s name has also been floated as a potential running mate for Trump should he win the nomination.
