Attempted murder suspect arrested after weeklong search
WARRENVILLE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - An attempted murder suspect is now in custody after Aiken County deputies searched the area for him last week.
The agency says he was arrested early Wednesday on Ralph Green Drive around 12:26 a.m.
According to the sheriff’s office, the warrant team followed up on a lead into his possible location. He was taken into custody without incident.
Fields is charged with attempted murder and a temporary hold charge, according to inmate bookings.
On Jan. 7, deputies responded to the 200 block of Myrtle Street. The victim told deputies while she was driving on Baker Street, going towards Myrtle, Fields pulled up to her vehicle from the opposite direction, driving a black sedan, according to the incident report.

The victim said she then heard two gunshots in her direction. Deputies were unable to find any shell casings on or beside the road and the car did not have any indentations on the driver’s side, according to the report.
News 12 received a video from a viewer showing law enforcement along Highway 421, Augusta Road, around 2 p.m. on Jan. 16.
That’s around four minutes from the home Fields fled from on Monarch Street.
Several Aiken Department of Public Safety patrol cars were also seen in the video.
