AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Local artists are looking for a chance in the spotlight that can showcase their talents on a large scale.

The Jessye Norman School of the Arts is looking for four artists for their annual window display and gallery show.

There are three application deadlines coming up. The next one is February 1.

If chosen, each artist will have their work shown for a 10-week period on their 8th Street window.

At the end of the year, the artists will all be invited back as part of a group exhibition in the Ann and Ellis Johnson Gallery of Art.

“It’s for any artist in the community that is up and coming. So, it’s a really great opportunity to get your foot in the door and get some gallery experience so it is open to the community,” said Carmen Moses, JNSA after-school site director.

If you have any questions feel free to call the school or visit their website.
