33-year-old accused of shooting at her ex in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 33-year-old suspect who was being sought in connection with an aggravated assault that happened last week.
Authorities said Tuesday morning that Lashawnda Sessoms was in custody over the shooting on Madrid Drive.

Deputies said the shooting happened just before 1:18 a.m. Thursday. The victim Sessoms, an ex, showed up at the home and asked who the victim had been hooking up with lately.
The victim said Sessoms got angry and pulled out a gun, then fired a shot, missing the victim’s head before leaving.
Sessoms was being sought on a charge of aggravated assault.
