FOLEY, Ala. (WALA/Gray News) - A 6-year-old was allegedly intentionally pushed into a fire by a 17-year-old on Sunday.

The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic incident in Foley, Alabama, and found the child had been burned.

The teenager lived at the home and the child’s mother sustained burns while rescuing her, according to authorities.

The child and mother were taken to a local hospital with significant burns, according to authorities.

The 17-year-old was arrested and charged with attempted murder and second-degree assault.
