Slaying victim Demon Parrish to be honored with balloon release
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - This weekend, friends and family will get together to honor an Augusta hairstylist who was found shot to death after being missing for weeks.
Last weekend, the body of Demon Parrish, 31, was found in a wooded area off Silver Bluff Road in Aiken County.
He’d been shot, and his death was ruled a homicide.
Those who knew him will hold a balloon release at his hairstyle shop, 2583 Tobacco Road, around 5 p.m. Sunday.
Participants are asked to bring black, gold and white balloons.

Parrish was last seen on Mill Street on Jan. 8, and was active on social media the following day.
Since his disappearance, the father, brother, friend and well-known hairstylist in the CSRA has weighed heavily on the hearts and minds of those who knew him.
Parrish recently won male hairstylist of the year but he wasn’t there to accept the honor. His mother accepted it on his behalf.
Last month, more than 50 people came together in faith, praying for the safe return of Parrish, lighting candles to the man they say always had their back.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is still searching for a man wanted for questioning; disappearance of Parrish.
The Aiken County Coroner’s Office, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and Richmond County Sheriff’s Office are continuing with the investigation.
