Suspect extradited to Richmond County in Demon Parrish investigation

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A suspect facing a murder charge after being arrested in North Augusta has been extradited to Richmond County.

According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, with the help of North Augusta Public Safety and US Marshal’s Task Force located Caleb Jamar White, 21, on the 1300 block of Plaza Place, at 6:24 p.m.

After a brief standoff, White was taken into custody and transported to the Aiken County Detention Center.

White will be charged with murder and theft by receiving stolen property, according to authorities.

He was wanted in Richmond County in the death of Demon Parrish who went missing in January.

The North Augusta Department of Public Safety says they were called to Plaza Place Apartments at approximately 5:30 p.m. to assist the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals.

After an hour on scene, was made and negotiators were able to talk to White and a female inside the apartment into coming out.
