AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - On Tuesday night, four of our local Georgia High School Basketball teams competed in their respective state quarterfinals.

The Josey Lady Eagles drove all the way up to Banks County and got the job done, 65-48. Josey’s moving on to the Class 2A State Semifinals, where they’ll face Central Macon. That game is scheduled for March 2 at 1 p.m.

In Augusta...

In a back-and-forth game, the Butler Lady Bulldogs came up short on their home floor, 52-49. So their season comes to a close in the Class 2A State Elite 8.

Cross Creek hosted one of the Class 3A State Quarterfinals against Wesleyan. It wasn’t the Lady Razorbacks night, because they came up on the wrong side of the box score, 66-44, which brings their impressive season to an end.

In Class 1A-D1, the Swainsboro Lady Tigers suffered a similar fate to Cross Creek and Butler. Swainsboro lost to Galloway while having home-court advantage as well, 70-61.
