SLED charges man in connection with deadly shooting in Johnston

JOHNSTON, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division have charged a 37-year-old man with accessory after the fact to murder on Monday.

SLED was requested on March 2 by the Johnston Police Department after 35-year-old Ricky Martin Jr. was shot multiple times at an apartment complex on May Street in Johnston.

Roscoe Pough Jr. was booked into the Edgefield County Detention Center.

According to the arrest warrant, Pough assisted the codefendant, Quenell Marquis Anderson, when he drove Anderson away from the scene of the shooting.

After shooting the victim, Anderson was seen getting into Pough’s 2022 Chevrolet Avalanche and leaving the scene, according to video footage.

Information on whether Anderson is also booked was not mentioned in the release.
