Grant Me Hope: Drake has a world of dreams and interests
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Thousands of children in Georgia don’t have a family to call their own.
News 12 has begun a partnership with the nonprofit Grant Me Hope, which works to find homes for older children in the foster care system.
Today we want to introduce you to Drake.
Drake is a young man with a lot of interests, from music to Marvel characters to animals – a boy with a world of dreams and ions waiting to unfold.
Drake loves to spend time with good listeners.
He also enjoys watching football games and anime and playing video games, football and basketball.
When it comes to music, Drake is drawn to the rhythm and poetry of rap.
And in the world of technology, Drake dreams of having a successful YouTube channel.
“If you have enough subscribers, you can make money off of it,” he said.
At school, where he earns good grades and his favorite subject is math, Drake enjoys reading and participating in reading clubs.
But amid all his interests and dreams, what Drake desires most is a loving and kind family.
One that will give him the one-on-one attention, , encouragement, structure and nurturing environment he needs to continue to thrive.
His family will also need to his desire to maintain his relationship with his foster parent.
