2nd man charged in connection with deadly shooting in Johnston
JOHNSTON, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division have charged a second man in connection to a deadly early March shooting in Johnston.
Quenell Marquis Anderson, 37 was charged on Wednesday with murder, according to officials.
Anderson was taken into custody in Upper Marlboro, Maryland with assistance from the Maryland State Police and Prince George’s County Police Department.
SLED previously charged Roscoe Pough Jr, 37, with accessory after the fact to murder on March 4.
SLED was requested on March 2 by the Johnston Police Department after 35-year-old Ricky Martin Jr. was shot multiple times at an apartment complex on May Street in Johnston.
Anderson is accused of shooting Martin multiple times with a firearm, the warrant states.
After shooting the victim, Anderson was seen getting into Pough’s 2022 Chevrolet Avalanche and leaving the scene, according to video footage.
Pough was booked into the Edgefield County Detention Center. Anderson was also booked at the Edgefield County Detention Center and is being housed in the Newberry County Detention Center.
