AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Tiger Woods doesn’t just move the needle in golf – he is the needle.

It doesn’t matter where his name is on the leaderboard – if he’s playing in the Masters, patrons of all ages will follow.

“He just encourages me to, like, keep going in golf,” said Landon Mincey, of Irmo, S.C.

Dad’s also used the game of golf – and Tiger Woods – to teach his sons other life lessons.

“Put a club in their hand, probably when they were both 3 and 4, so trying to work on it,” T.J. Mincey said. “They know his path and his history and the direction he’s going in life and how to be a beast and just pursue whatever they decide to do the same way.”

Tiger Woods reminds us all that anything is possible.

“All the injuries he’s been through,” Landon said.

Both to his body and his reputation, but each time, he’s defied the odds.

“It’s just next level. You don’t see it from any other athlete,” T.J. Mincey said. “Most people give up at this point.”

But you can never count Tiger out.

Tiger’s already made history in the past few days – just by playing.

He’s now made the most consecutive Masters cuts of anyone ever.

Tiger was the youngest to win the green jacket, and now at 48, his appeal is timeless, bringing brothers and fathers and grandsons together to help create their own Masters memories.

Even when it became apparent Tiger was not among those in the hunt for a green jacket, his gallery remained the largest by far at the Masters on Saturday.

Much like the roar of his patrons, Tiger’s presence endures.
