S.C. State University to require ID for entering campus
ORANGEBURG, S.C. - South Carolina State University announced Wednesday morning that a new identification requirement is going into immediate effect on campus.
Anyone entering campus, including students and employees, must be prepared to display university-issued identification. S.C. State said you can obtain identification at the OneCard office in the University Computer and Information Technology Services complex in the Crawford-Zimmerman building.

The university said a vehicle parking decal is not sufficient identification for entry.
Guests will be required to present a valid driver’s license or another form of government-issued identification.
The move comes as the campus is dealing with a string of shootings and other crimes in recent months. Among other measures the campus has taken in response to the outbreak, it’s getting a dog that’s able to sniff out guns.
