AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Taylor Swift fans across the world are basking in the Grammy award winner’s new album, Tortured Poets Department, and local businesses are taking advantage of the special day.

With so many activities for fans from food to merch and an album release party, there are definitely no tortured Swifties on album release day.

“I just wanted to make a nice environment for Swifties to come in. We have a friendship-making station and I made this board last night with one of my fellow Swifie employees. Just listening to Taylor Swift all day,” said the general manager at Frog and the Hen, Kinsey Ringer.

MORE ON THE NEW ALBUM:

Fans and employees at Frog and the Hen crafted a special Taylor-themed menu just for the day.

“Whenever I pitched it to the owner, he was a little hesitant and I was like, ‘Listen, it’s gonna be amazing.’ We have like a bunch of specials including food specials, drink specials. I have a mocktail special, a coffee special,” said Ringer.

A surprise double album release has some Swifties “Down Bad,” but Tortured Poets weekend at one local boutique could be the remedy.

“It’s an opportunity for fans to come and get merch for the new album. We’re primarily a women’s clothing boutique but we’re best known for selling Swiftie merch from apparel to gift items, stationary candles, anything you can think of,” said the owner of Forevermore Boutique, Kennedy Sammons.

It doesn’t stop there. It’s the second time downtown record shop Grantski Records is holding a Taylor Swift album release party.

“We have a DJ playing tonight and then we’ll have like a photo booth and then a bracelet-making station and we’ll be listening to Taylor Swift songs and the new album and just celebrating her release,” said owner Evan Grantski.

They’re proving there’s no party like a Swiftie party.
