‘Broken, not gone’: Aiken SPCA store bounces back after crash
AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The SPCA Albrecht Center thrift store has bounced back after a car crashed into the store Friday morning.
The of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is “broken, but not gone,” volunteer Jennifer Richardson says.
On Monday, she told us the damage has been temporarily fixed so the store can stay open.
A sign at the store said Monday that the normal hours would resume Tuesday.

An employee was in the parking lot waiting to go into work when they saw the whole incident, SPCA tells us.

They also told us no one was inside except the store’s resident a cat named California Roll, who was unharmed.
No one was injured, but the driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to police.
