Augusta Regional Airport gives inside look at prohibited TSA items
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Transportation Security istration at Augusta Regional Airport gave us an inside look at some of the prohibited items they didn’t let their gates.
Guns, knives of different sizes, shovels, hammers, brass knuckles, and golf clubs are just to name a few.
But there are some unusual, prohibited items that engers try to sneak through the gates with.
A TSA spokesperson tells us about one of the weirdest items he has seen so far.
“It was a four-foot gas weed wacker that someone brought to a checkpoint in Cleveland a few years ago. They walked up to the ticket document checker, and they say, ‘Hey, you can’t take that,’” said Mark Howell.
Howell says if you are unsure about an item, you can check out the “can I bring my tool” resource inside the TSA app.
It will let you know if you can bring those items on board with you.
