Pedestrian struck by vehicle on Highway 19 in Aiken

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Highway 19 in Aiken early Monday morning, according to authorities.

Aiken City Department of Public Safety dispatch says they received the call at 4:23 a.m. at the Sprint on Laurens Street on Highway 19.

Dispatch says the pedestrian was hit somewhere on Highway 19, but they are unsure where yet.

As of 4:33 a.m., officers were on the scene, dispatch says. EMS were on the way along with South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Dispatch says they are unsure if the victim is injured.

We are on the way as of 4:35 a.m., when we arrived at 5:10 a.m. they scene had been cleared.
