Richmond County seniors take a trip down memory lane

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - It’s graduation season, and on Thursday, graduating seniors from across Richmond County were welcomed back to Copeland Elementary School for the third annual Senior Walk event.
For many, this was the first time in more than six years that they’d stepped back inside that building.
Everything probably felt a lot smaller, which helped put these students’ growth into perspective.
“Since I was in pre-K, I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ And now I’m back, and it’s so mind-blowing,” said one senior.
It was also a great opportunity to inspire elementary-aged students, showing them that one day, they’ll be seniors doing this walk event as well.
