One-Tank Trip: Visit Tank Town USA to drive armored carrier
MORGANTON, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - One special place in north Georgia is taking its town name very seriously.
About 12 years ago, Todd Liebross created Tank Town USA.
It’s Will Volk’s final One-Tank Trip. Because it was the last one, he wanted to do something extreme.

“Saw someone in Europe doing something similar, and thought, ‘Eh, let’s give it a shot,’” he said.
Liebross got an armored personnel carrier from Europe and brought it across the ocean to open his business.
“It’s not actually a tank. It’s truly an armored personnel carrier, so for the purists out there, I know, it’s not a real tank, but it drives just like one. It’s 30,000 pounds,” said Liebross.
That’s good enough for Volk, who had fun driving the tank.
He spray-painted and smashed a car, and then ran it over with the carrier.
