Mom found dead, 2 children injured after being attacked by pack of dogs days before Mother’s Day
BROOKS COUNTY, Ga. (WALB/Gray News) - A mom in Georgia was found dead and her two children were injured after allegedly being brutally attacked by a pack of dogs just days before Mother’s Day.
Police said the attack happened near a bus stop on Thursday, WALB reported.
Authorities said 35-year-old Courtney Williams was found dead in the yard of a residence.
The children were taken to a hospital after the reported dog attack.
WALB spoke with a neighbor who said she was saddened by the tragedy.
“I do feel for the family and for the kids because now they are going to have to celebrate Mother’s Day without their mother,” she said.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is conducting an autopsy to determine the official cause of death.
No immediate word on the children’s condition.
