ROME, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Baseball head coach Jimmie Lewis and the Harlem Bulldogs have done it again.

On Friday night, they won the Class 3A state championship for the second year in a row.

Nothing has changed from last year.

Harlem Bulldogs will remain state champions for another year.

The Bulldogs won game one of the championship series 13-5.

After taking game one by eight runs, there was only one job left.

In game two, the Bulldogs took the lead from the beginning and won 7-0.

This is Lewis’ seventh state championship win in his career.

“I think this is fantastic. To win it last year and then to come back and win it again this year, I never would have dreamed we would have got here,” said Lewis. “This is probably the greatest baseball team in Harlem history.”

The team will lose a lot of seniors this year.

But for right now, they’re letting this win soak in.
