17-year-old arrested in March shooting on Martin Luther King Boulevard

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 17-year-old was arrested in connection with a shooting on Martin Luther King Boulevard in March, according to authorities.

On Wednesday, Quantavius Raheem was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, three counts of possession of a firearm and one count of theft by taking, according to jail records.

On March 21, at 12:54 a.m. deputies responded to 1806 Martin Luther King Boulevard about the shooting.

Upon arrival, the victim’s mother found the victim at Chestnut Street and Conklin Avenue, deputies say.

The victim was shot in his ankle, according to authorities. Emergency medical crews took the victim to a hospital.

At the scene of the shooting, deputies located two shell casings at Roselle and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
