BUFORD, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - For the third time in less than a week, a small earthquake was reported in metro Atlanta.

The earthquake happened just northwest of Buford Sunday at 8:37 p.m., according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

This latest earthquake was 2.0 in magnitude and 1.3 kilometers in depth, according to USGS.

Two late-night earthquakes shook up communities around Lake Lanier Thursday night and early Friday. Both quakes’ epicenters were in Buford, right by the lake’s southernmost edge. The first, which occurred Thursday around 11:15 p.m., had a magnitude of 2.5. The second happened at 1:30 a.m. Friday and had a 2.1 magnitude. The shakes were felt most intensely from Sugar Hill to Chestatee, a USGS map showed.

There have not been any reports of injuries or damages following these earthquakes.
