Allendale driver charged with murdering her romantic rival
ALLENDALE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Allendale police said a woman has been arrested on suspicion of using a car to kill a woman who was interested in the same man as she was.
On Saturday in the late evening hours, the Allendale Police Department responded to the area of Mill Street South at Bing Street in the Kennedy Park neighborhood to investigate a hit-and-run.
Allendale emergency medical crews responded after a 911 caller heard the victim, Theresa Elmore, crying out for assistance.

Slaying happened in the 2800 block of Waterside Drive, where Edward Goins, 53, of Augusta, was shot at least one time.

An investigation by Allendale police and the Allendale County Sheriff’s Office revealed that Elmore was struck by a Chrysler 300C driven by Shakita Duncan, originally from Greenwood, according to police.
Elmore succumbed to her injuries while receiving medical attention.
Duncan and Elmore had romantic interests in the same man, who Elmore went to see the morning of her death, according to police.
Duncan was charged with murder and hit-and-run death, according to police, and booked into the Allendale County Detention Center.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol assisted with the initial traffic investigation.
The killing comes amid a more than two-year outbreak of violent crime that’s claimed more than 150 lives across the CSRA. Communities large and small have been affected on both sides of the Savannah River.
