AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - If you are still in need of school supplies, here are some events in the CSRA.
This week
If your student need a haircut before going back to school, head over on Monday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at May Park with the Augusta Parks and Recreation Department.
On Friday in Columbia County, the Grovetown Police Department is holding their National Night Out back-to-school bash from 6 to 9 p.m.
On Saturday, Aug. 3, at 9 a.m. there will be a Stuff the Bus event at Walmart in Evans. The English Insurance Agent will be ing Columbia County School students by collecting the supplies they need for the school year. If you can’t donate a backpack, no worries! Just stop by for a quote, and we’ll donate one on your behalf. All contributions will benefit the Columbia County School District.
Augusta Boxing Club gives nearly 500 book bags to students
Nearly 500 students received book bags during the 6th annual “Knock out the Need” drive at the Augusta Boxing Club over the weekend.

Springfield Baptist Church will be hosting there annual Back To School Giveaway on Saturday from 10a.m. to 2 p.m. Please bring your children out to get their free school supplies.
Erica’s Boutique is hosting its 2nd annual Book Bag Giveaway on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Last year, 48 book bags full of school supplies were given away. This year, the boutique is seeking help from barbers, braiders, nail techs, and food vendors to fill the bags with school supplies.
Donations of paper, pens, pencils, rulers, color crown folders, and other school supplies are appreciated. Drop-off locations include Erica’s Boutique at 1272 Merry Street, where a box will be located at the desk for donations.
School is back in session! Here’s when each CSRA district begins
School is back in session. Here is when your students will return in each school district in the CSRA.

Bethel AME Church and the A.H.Hall Fellowship Group will host their annual back-to-school giveaway on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Crawford Avenue.
On Saturday, The Augusta Dream Center is hosting a back-to-school event on Aug. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon. They are prepared to serve 1,200 students. We’ll have backpacks, supplies, haircuts, shoes, clothing, dental and vision screenings, food and more. Everything is free and no registration is required, everything is first come first serve. However, kids need to be present to receive backpacks and supplies.
In McDuffie County, residents can go to the East Georgia Housing Authority Partners for school supplies resources, food, games and more. The event will be on Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
Head over to the Back 2 School supply giveaway on Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. located at 644 Aiken Street in Augusta. There will be supplies, refreshments, a bounce house music and more.
