With Belair Middle School unfinished, meeting set for parents
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Belair Middle School will open in a temporary facility until construction on the new school building is complete.
Students will begin the school year at the former Langford Middle School, 3019 Walton Way.
“Our priority is for students and staff to have a stable and focused learning environment. Our transportation, maintenance, and school nutrition departments have worked tirelessly this summer to ensure a smooth transition for our students. Belair Middle School faculty and staff are excited to welcome families,” Superintendent Dr. Kenneth Bradshaw said.
To help prepare for the first day of school, parents and guardians are encouraged to attend the following events:
- July 22: Belair Middle School family information meeting, 6 p.m., at Belair Elementary School, 3925 Harper Franklin Avenue. A live stream link will be available on the district website.
- Aug. 2: open house, 12 to 6 p.m., at the temporary Belair Middle School site.
The first day of school for Belair Middle School is Aug. 6, starting at 9:15 a.m. Daily bus transportation to the temporary Belair Middle School facility will be provided for all students, according to the school system.
