GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - A Greenville man had a chance to capture an unexpected moment in nature in June.

Chuck Johnson recorded his terrier Jane playing with a deer after she came out of the woods while they were hiking in an area along the Reedy River.

In the video, Jane and the deer can be seen running back and forth in a field together.

‘A lot of pain’: Georgian survives bites from brown recluse spider

A bite from a brown recluse spider can be deadly. And while a Georgia woman survived being bitten several times, she faces a tough road ahead.

Jessica Rogue was hospitalized after being bit by multiple brown recluse spiders.

“There was zero aggression or conflict,” Johnson said. “They played like they knew each other.”

Some people have commented on the video speculating the doe may have been trying to keep the dog away from fawns.

It was all a happy game to Jane, though. Johnson said they have returned to the area multiple times and keep their eyes peeled for their new friend.

“Haven’t seen our buddy but Jane looks everywhere,” he said.
