Fire crews arrived on the scene where a semi-truck towing two trailers was heavily smoking, officials say.

The trailer’s right front tires had caught on fire and spread into the trailer. The other trailer was not involved or damaged, according to officials.

The trailer was full of furniture, tools, and clothes.

The driver told officials during his trip the tractor started to slow down for no unknown reason.

He was able to park the tractor alone on the shoulder to check the truck, where he found the rear trailer’s tires on fire.

The driver told officials he used his fire extinguisher before calling 911.
