Wrens police ask for public’s help after girl injured in shooting

WRENS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Wrens police are asking for help from the community after a 16-year-old girl was injured in a shooting on July 23.

It happened just after 11 p.m. Tuesday on Howard Street near its intersection with Planer Street, according to Wrens police.

According to the incident report, the teen girl was found lying in the wooded area between Green Meadows Apartments and Howard Street.

She was taken to an Augusta hospital with a gunshot wound to her right side, police said.

The investigation is active and police are asking for help from the community.
