NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - On Thursday, Fox Creek High School students returned to the classroom.

Students were able to start their day with a back-to-school pep rally.

One teacher told us it is something she tried to start back in 2017 and now they were able to do it.

SOAR Academy hosted a sensory-friendly silent disco to raise money and gave one family a full scholarship to the private K-12 school and tutoring center.

We also spoke with a student, who says the school is always growing.

“We’ve opened up new sports programs. We have a women’s lax team, new classes, new programs, new clubs, new teachers. We are constantly upgrading, we are constantly improving,” said a student, Tiegan Wood. “I want to be as involved as I possibly can, and I just want to overall help and the school.”

Students also got the chance to end their first day with another rally.

Fox Creek will also start this football season at a new stadium.
