ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - We’re only 100 days out from Election Day.

On Sunday, the Trump campaign trained hundreds of volunteers to become certified poll watchers.

Georgia Republican Party Chairman Josh McKoon was impressed by the number of people who showed up to the Trump Force 47 field office in Dunwoody.

“The enthusiasm and energy on the part of Republican voters is through the roof,” he said. “I mean, I’ve never really seen it like this before.”

Georgia again in the spotlight less than 100 days before election

Several polls all show a potential Harris-Trump race to be virtual tossups. As a battleground state, Georgia is Ground Zero.

There's huge speculation that Vice President Kamala Harris will face off against Donald Trump...

This was one of 17 similar events hosted by the Trump campaign in states across the country.

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene spoke to the group of volunteers, emphasizing the importance of election integrity.

“We have American citizens, especially here in the state of Georgia showing up and getting engaged in this election process,” she said. “They’re making sure election integrity is completely upheld. This is the best thing that we can see happen.”

The Trump Force 47 is also trying to target new voters.

As they trained the volunteers to come in with low-propensity voters -- mainly ed Republicans -- and persuade them to vote for the former president.

Outreach underway in Georgia to get Gen Z to polls in November

Just over three months remain until Americans decide which candidate will lead the country. But in the last few weeks, there’s been a new push to get younger voters out to the polls.

Georgia young voters

“My home state of Georgia, I’ve lived here all my life, it’s hard to believe they call it purple,” Taylor Greene said. “I believe it’s ruby red and I think we’re going to prove that in November.

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear spoke at a rally in Cumming outside a new campaign office for Kamala Harris.

“Everyone here today that signs up to volunteer, you matter and you might be the difference in winning this race for Vice President Harris,” he said.

The Democratic governor urged volunteers to help swing the state of Georgia once again.

“There aren’t red counties or blue counties,” Beshear said. “They’re just counties with hardworking families that are going to be open to hear you talk to them.”

Vice President Harris will return to Atlanta on Tuesday for a campaign event.

This will mark her sixth visit to Georgia this year alone.
