Greenbrier football sees change of leadership ahead of new season
EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Football season is just around the corner.
There will be some new faces leading a few CSRA teams this season, and Greenbrier’s football team is one of them.
It’s a homecoming for Sean Tiernan.
“Especially a place where I graduated from and I’m an alumnus from. It’s a special place to me,” said Tiernan.
But coming home after a while away isn’t easy.
Falcons sell out season tickets, see highest renewal rate in 2 decades
Atlanta Falcons fans are pumped up for the new season as the team announced Tuesday that all of its 2024 season tickets have sold out.

“It’s been a little bit different. But you know, kids are kids, just getting physicality is the biggest, biggest thing right now. Mental toughness,” he said.
He knows tough.
He’s worked at Burke County and Thomson, winning state at each stop.
“People just don’t understand how difficult of a task that is to get to that level. And you know, we got a long way to go,” said Tiernan.
Over the past two seasons, the Pack went 1 and 19.
Greenbrier’s season starts against Harlem.
But before that, they’ll put what they have developed so far against Westside in a scrimmage Friday.
