Allendale County adds more metal detectors at schools

ALLENDALE, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - Students in Allendale County schools will see more metal detectors on campus for safety.
According to the district’s Facebook page, some s and school resource officers were trained on the new metal detectors in July.
They say the safety of their students, teachers and staff is a priority.
This follows the district using metal detectors and wands in schools after a shooting that killed a 14-year-old in April.
