AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - For those needing a place to rest their heads out of the storm, the Salvation Army of Aiken has you covered.

They are providing extra beds to help anyone in need.

Currently, they hold 44 people and are adding an additional 16 beds.

Where can your pets go if you have to evacuate?

When storms hit, some people leave to find shelter elsewhere, but that does not always include a safe place for your pet. So where can they go, if not with you?

“So when they arrive not only is it a safe place to be, but we also have hot meals when they arrive, breakfast, lunch and dinner and necessities such as toothpaste, deodorant and towels and all of that good stuff,” said Capt. Michael Good.

They do ask those staying to bring an ID.

They’re located on Park Avenue.
