New cancer center at Beacon Bluff could open soon
NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - We have a new update on the new Comprehensive Cancer Treatment Center at Beacon Bluff.
The 64-thousand-square-foot facility has been in the works since January.
The space is taking over the former Medac building in partnership with the Augusta Oncology Multi-Specialty Clinic.
Leaders say this space could be a game changer for patients in South Carolina and Georgia.

A Colorado-based chain, Ziggi’s Coffee, opened its first store in Georgia over on Furys Ferry Road over the weekend.

“There’s not a service provider in the greater CSRA that is comprehensive treatment care that is all under one roof that was the goal from the very beginning,” said Brett Brannon with Palmetto Peach Development.
Leaders say the budget and project timeline is meeting deadlines so they hope the center is up and running by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, leaders say the larger Beacon Bluff project should be open in February 2025.
The project is swiftly underway, and they are looking for tenants.
They are hoping more retail would settle in at Beacon Bluff to blend in with the other three restaurants in the area.
