Man accused of threatening to kill women in Aiken

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A 36-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after pointing a gun at two women and saying he would kill them, according to authorities.

The Aiken Department of Public Safety says officers arrived at the Econo Lodge on Richland Avenue West for a disturbance.

While on scene, officers were told there may be a man with a gun in one of the rooms.

According to the incident report, while officers were approaching the room, a witness stated she could hear a man in the next room saying he was going to kill everyone.

Suspect arrested in fatal hit-and-run in Orangeburg County

A 33-year-old has been charged after a hit-and-run that killed one and injured two others while attempting to evade law enforcement in Orangeburg County, authorities announced on Friday.

The incident report states officers knocked on the door, and a woman stepped out, followed by the suspect, Joseph Satterwhite.

Officers detained Satterwhite, who stated he had a gun on his side, the report says.

While inside the hotel room, officers spoke to two women who stated as one of them was leaving the room, Satterwhite grabbed her, pushed her back into the room, and made them sit on the bed, according to the incident report.

A man has been arrested after being accused of giving two minors alcohol and coercing them to produce sexually explicit content in Grovetown, authorities released told us on Friday.

The woman stated Satterwhite then pulled out a gun and threatened to kill them if they left the room, the report says.

The report stated Satterwhite told officers he did point his gun at the victims but did not threaten to kill them.

Satterwhite was booked into the Aiken County Detention Center.

He is charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, sale or delivery of a pistol to certain persons, burglary, kidnapping and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
