Domestic violence suspect barricades himself with rifle inside Saluda home
SALUDA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A domestic assault suspect was taken into custody after barricading himself inside a home with a rifle, we learned from the Saluda County Sheriff’s Office on Monday.
Orangeburg County neighbors heartbroken over 6-year-old’s shooting death
A 6-year-old girl has died in Orangeburg County after what officials are calling an accidental shooting. Deputies say she was shot in the head by her 7-year-old brother.

On Sunday, the Saluda County Sheriff’s Office says they were notified by the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office of a domestic assault with a victim that had recently occurred.
Deputies say they responded to a residence on Star Court.

Through the investigation, deputies found that a man was barricaded inside a bedroom of the home with a rifle.
Deputies say attempts were made to call the subject out of the residence but they were unsuccessful.
Man accused of threatening to kill women in Aiken
A 36-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after pointing a gun at two women and saying he would kill them, according to authorities.

The Saluda County Sheriff’s Office’s Special Response Team entered the residence and took the suspect, who is identified as Shannon Dale Rodgers, 33, of Saluda, into custody, according to authorities.
No deputies or the suspect were injured, the sheriff’s office states.
Rodgers has been charged with related domestic violence offenses and an outstanding warrant, according to authorities.
